Day 145 – 10/16/11 – Cowboy Church and Olney Springs

Rest Day; People Met = 14

This was a great rest day!  It started off with attending the Grand Opening of a Cowboy Church and ended with a potluck supper and presentation at the Olney Springs Lions Club.  In between we stopped at the Boone Grocery and Hardware store again because they had the only available wifi in a 20 mile span.

We were invited to the opening of the Cowboy Church as we walked by it into Avondale.  Phyllis and her granddaughter Jerica graciously extended the invitation.  What an experience, as you will see from this podcast.

The presentation at Olney Springs went very well.  Many thanks to Patsy Osborn for setting that up for us.  Part of her lineage is from the Sinclair clan.  The club voted to donate $100 to our cause, completely unsolicited, and we gathered some new contacts and opportunities for further down the road.  And of course there was the delightful time we spent with our hosts the Andersons, but I’m still saving more on that until next time.
