Brain Health Checklist – Quality of Life

I’ve entertained a few names for this section: atmosphere, environment, conditions. Just now the light bulb came on for what I mean by the next series of items important for brain health, key factors for the quality of life. The next five topics are the most speculative I present in terms of brain health, but they are proven to help your overall health as well as your quality of life.

The five factors in this category are leisure, levity, love, music and hygiene. Admittedly I’m a slave to alliteration. Avoiding stress might be more to the point than “leisure;” belonging more to the point than “love.”

While the ability of these factors to improve cognitive dysfunction may be uncertain, their absence certainly contributes to such dysfunction, contributes to illness in general, contributes to an unhappy life. They may not help Cindy’s brain health at this point, but they will help you and they make Cindy’s life better.
